I’m so excited to share with you my cloffice [closet + office] Reveal and Tour! Upstairs in our home we have a small room that was extra in our house and wasn’t being used. Which made this Cloffice possible, and it’s been a space that inspires me daily. Today I’m revealing and taking you on a tour of my random room turned into a cloffice!
Our home has a total of three really small closets. Two of them are in each bedroom and then a small coat closet in the hallway. I use to keep my clothes in the second bedroom until that became a nursery. The master closet was way to small for both my husbands and my clothes so I had to come up with somewhere to put my wardrobe. This idea came to me a couple months back while I was strolling through Pinterest looking at freestanding closets and I came across a cloffice. That small little room upstairs was perfect for just that!
First, let’s take a look at the emty room
When we moved into our little fixer upper home, the upstairs hadn’t been touched. There was no flooring, no trim, no doors. We laid down vinyl flooring through the whole upstairs. Most of the upstairs has been trimmed but we haven’t made it to the cloffice yet. This is one of the last rooms that need trim added.
Here is a before pictures of this room:
Planning the room
This room was on a tight budget and I wanted to use as many things around the home as I could find. We started with painting the walls with leftover paint from the laundry room. Its a light pink/purple color from BEHR paint called Spring Bouquet.
I had an old library school desk and antique chair that I did a makeover on a couple weeks ago for this space. My sister gave me an old dresser that also received a makeover. The dresser is the perfect place to hold all of my craft and sewing supplies.
THe cloffice reveal and tour
I went to Home Depot and picked out a couple shelves and rods to hang in my cloffice. The full length mirror was the same match as the shelves and I found it at Walmart. I will have as many things linked below as I can.
This cute rug, I found to place in between the racks of clothing and a little stool to where I can sit and put on my shoes.
I had so much fun decorating this room with all my pretty vintage hats and gloves and records. I wanted lots of pink and flowers. This room came together nicely using what I already had on hand. Only a couple things were purchased for this room and so it cost us very little to put this cloffice together.
The small little vintage table came from a thrift store several years ago. I placed a DIY photo frame with scrapbook paper on the inside. A dress form and a pin cushion holder also sit on the small table. Under the small table holds a couple large vases with scrap lace and buttons.
I hung an old window that my dad had given me. I attached three nobs on the bottom of the window to hold ironed clothes or anything else that I might want to hang. The ribbon holder made out of old training wheels holds a special place in my heart. Those training wheels were used on my first bike as well as my sisters first bikes.
The small skinny ladder came from a thrift store several years ago and it is perfect to hang scarves on.
I decorated the top of the dresser with a few more pink accents. The old truck picture along with the basket tray for the copy paper both came from hobby lobby. On top of the stacked books is my sewing box. A couple pink empty vases sit on top of the dresser along with a cute little spool.
I hope you enjoyed this cloffice reveal and tour of my space! I absolutely love getting ready in here and working in my little space. This is where my inspiration comes to life.
