As I was creating our Guest Room Welcome Basket, I knew I had to throw some wipes in. Our guests certainly don’t want to get sick while traveling and if we can help them minimize that, we are glad to. So, what are some other essentials that guests may need?
Towels and toiletries are another great item to have sitting in a basket on the bathroom vanity where guests can easily see them.
how to Pick the perfect basket
Your “basket” can be anything. It could be a bed tray or even a cute galvanized bucket. Find something that can hold all of your essentials and that each item can be easily seen.
Next, you can start arranging items in your basket. Put some thought into the essential items that you place into your basket. It is almost guaranteed that guests will have a headache or need a drink and snack at some point of their stay. It can be awkward to ask your host for something that you had forgotten on your trip. This is a great way to not only think ahead, but, to truly prepare a space that shows your guests that they are welcome.
elevate your basket
Place the basket on the bed or side table to where it can be one of the first things that is seen when walking into the room.
Add a soft blanket, rolled up and tucked in the side of the basket. Or place a separate basket somewhere in the room with extra blankets in case guests need an extra bed layer or to wrap up in a chair. A magazine or book provides a quiet evening after a day of traveling and catching up.
Another item you can add in your basket or around the room is fresh flowers and seasonal décor. It helps welcome the guests and make it feel more like home.
I hope that our guests like the little basket we have prepared for them!
I believe it is important to make your house guests feel welcome. Sometimes guests may feel uncomfortable asking for items they may have forgotten or need. This little bin makes it super easy to have all of that stuff in one spot, ready for them to use. Would you add any other essential items to your Guest Room Welcome Basket? I would love to know down below in the comments!
