Thanksgiving is two weeks away and it is my favorite holiday. I love gathering with friends and family around our small kitchen table and reflect on all that we are thankful for. Here is my simple and easy Thanksgiving tablescape that I put together for this year!

When working on any tablescape you need to work in layers. The first layer or the base can be a table runner or a piece of fabric. I love all the ideas on Pinterest of using a plaid scarf for the first layer of the tablescape.
I used my pumpkin table runner that I have had for several years and I use it through the entire fall season. The orange and reds are my favorite colors to decorate with through fall.
Step two is to add some greenery, garland, or ribbon to add some volume. I like to use garland for a tablescape, because it comes in a long length and fills up the space. But this year I wanted to keep it simple and easy since we will have quite a few people around our small table. I used a beautiful simple cream plaid ribbon from Hobby Lobby.
For the third step, I added the centerpiece. I placed a natural brown wooden vase with yellow fall flowers in the middle for the centerpiece. There are so many different vases and flowers you can choose from to accommodate your taste of style. This small wood vase came from Hobby Lobby as well as the fall flowers.
I then added a small pumpkin sign that says Give Thanks. This little sign I have also had for several years. I love to shop my home and see what I can use before going out and buying things.
This is my favorite step, adding in all the small details. And a must for any tablescape not just Thanksgiving. I love layering in candles. You can use pillar candles, candle sticks, votive candles, or even battery operated candles for no mess. I added in two small pillar candles and a couple glass burnt orange pumpkins. I didn’t want to add in to many details because I wanted to keep it easy and simple.
The last step is the table setting. Again layering is the most important part. I started with a round weave charger plate and placed a plastic orange and gold pumpkin plate on top. Then I added brown napkins in wooden napkin holders to the top of each plate.
I hope that this simple and easy Thanksgiving tablescape gave you some inspiration for your own Thanksgiving table. It doesn’t have to be expensive or elaborate to have a nice table setting for your family and friends.
Wishing you and your family the best Thanksgiving!
